The addition of a linen shade, rather than glass, softens the light and look of the fixture. The traditional lantern form referenced in this design has also been updated with a modern architectural approach. The Dresden collection is an exciting new interpretation of a centuries-old mainstay form - both strong yet subtle, structured yet relaxed, and bold yet refined. Over a kitchen island: We recommend installing ceiling fixtures 30"-36" from the surface of your kitchen island.
